Name: John Gotts

Age: 42

Physical Blond hair and blue-green eyes. 6' and around 160 pounds.
Appearance: Lean and muscular, receding hairline, and a youthful face.
My normal attire is shorts or corduroys, a t-shirt, and Chuck
                Taylors or sandals.

Disposition: Nowhere near as shy as I used to be. I like to see live music
and meet people or I'm perfectly happy dancing solo. I'm
always open to new ideas, as all people with the mind of a
programmer are. I'm logical, centered, and relaxed, a perfect
problem solver. I'm cool under pressure and don't get sucked
into pointless drama. I appreciate beauty, artistic ability,
and keen intelligence. I have a dry and subtle sense of humor.

Religion: Atheist.

Drinks: IPAs of all sorts.

Smoking: Nonsmoker, not bothered by smokers.

Politics: Civil libertarian/environmentalist.

Locale: Born in Wyandotte, MI. Currently living in Plymouth.

Status: Single.

Sign: Aries/Taurus.

Sports: Biking and dancing.

Literature: Interested in blogging on Facebook and reading news
                aggregators.

Movies/TV: I don't watch television or watch many movies.

Music: My musical interests have changed over the years. In the
mid-80's to early 90's, rap (Public Enemy) and hair metal
(Poison). My first two shows were Huey Lewis and the News and
Rush. From the early 90's onward, most "alternative"
sub-genres from grunge (Alice in Chains) to pop (Smashing
Pumpkins) to electronica (Chemical Brothers) to metal (Tool).
I picked up a keen interest in Canadian indie rock listening to
89X (Mystery Machine, Jale, Our Lady Peace, Ma, and many more).
Later on I started listening to American indie rock on WOXY and
stopped listening to mainstream alternative radio, as it became
dull. Started listening to more indie from the 80's to 90's,
too. Then, most recently, I became interested in jam bands. I
went to my first jam band shows in 1997 but didn't start
getting to know the music until eight years later. I've spent
lots of time and money seeing the likes of moe., Keller
Williams, Dark Star Orchestra, and Phil Lesh and, somewhat
surprisingly, jam band music inspired me to pick up a guitar at
age 30. I need lots more practice before I'm ready to play in a
                band.
